Let
me give you a real life example -- let me tell you
my
story
Like you, I've been
searching for a way to get in shape for longer than I care to
think -- most of the time not finding it. Occasionally I found
little pieces of it but I could never put it all together
(until I found the missing links that eventually became the
Ultimate Results Program).
I started working out 12
1/2 years ago at the age of 30 when my body started turning to
mush from my sedentary lifestyle.
I knew nothing about
working out or eating right and there was nobody I could
turn to for any information or advice...I was basically
on my own.
And let me tell you, I
endured so much trial and error coming up with the
solutions...if I wasn't so passionate about bettering my
body I know I would have given up long before.
Heck, after 8 long years
of working out this is only what I looked like:

Pretty pathetic I
know...I certainly didn't look like I had been working
out for 8 years.
It wasn't for my lack of
desire though. I tried just about everything to get into
shape. And I read everything I could
get my hands on -- books, manuals, research publications,
magazines, websites, you name it. I listened to countless
tapes and courses about getting in shape...I learned an
enormous amount of information.
And best of all, I tried them on
myself (and eventually others) until I found the most
effective ones -- that proved themselves over and over
again.
But I still couldn't
make that breakthrough to the next level of
fitness I was struggling to reach.
It's not that I didn't
get results from these things I learned -- I did -- however,
not to the degree I had hoped.
Eventually I realized
the deep underlying causes of my lack of progress wasn't being
touched by these "one-dimensional" things. And, whatever
progress I was making was unbearably slow.
I'll bet you know
what I'm talking about from your own experience.
Then, totally
unexpectedly, something really significant
happened...
I
finally found the answer!
I vividly remember
looking at, what I like to call now...THE PHOTOS! In late
1997, while thumbing through a popular fitness magazine, I
came upon a collage of photos of people who had undergone
tremendous changes in their bodies...sometimes in remarkably
short times.
To see the photos was
almost to disbelieve them they were so dramatic. In fact, many
people I showed the pictures to didn't believe anyone could
change their bodies so remarkably in such a short period of
time.
But I believed...you see
I really studied those pictures. And not just the incredible
changes these men and women had made to their bodies. I looked
at each and every one of their faces and came to the
realization that,
"these people
were no different than me!"
You see, for years up to
that point I had made excuses for my lack of progress:
"my mother and
father had bad genetics and I just inherited them" (in
fact they did have bad genetics for building muscle and
losing fat - but I overcame them with what I'm about to tell
you in a second)
"My arms were too
long and they were the reason I couldn't get them to grow"
(well, they were longer than normal. And in reality
this did make it harder for me to fill them out. So I had to
use the absolute most effective methods to do
this)
"My shoulders are
not wide so I'll never develop that broad-shouldered look"
(my clavicles - the bones that create shoulder width
- are not that wide. Although this meant I started with
less than impressive shoulder width I overcame this flaw
with intelligent training...but not until I incorporated the
one crucial component into my program that finally allowed
me to breakthrough)
"I'll always look
fat no matter how much fat I lose because my hip bones are
so wide (once again I was giving myself excuses but in
reality my hip bones were wide -- even at my absolute lowest
bodyfat they still measured 33 1/2 inches - but I found they
no longer looked wide once I did lose my bodyfat)
"I
can't build muscle and lose fat like those people in
the magazines because I don't have high levels of the right
hormones in my body" (Having high levels of androgens
in your body - man or woman - helps you build muscle and
lose fat easier and at greater levels than someone with
lower levels. Testing revealed I had low-normal levels of
these androgens. But in the end it didn't matter once I
incorporated what you'll learn)
I believe it was
only because I had certain disadvantages
that I was finally able to make the progress I did.
Because I did have such
a hard time getting my body to respond I had to find the...
Absolute Best
Methods...
to coax my body into
shape.
But it still wasn't
enough until...
I
made the breakthrough connection!
And it was all in my
head...
You see, once I saw THE
PHOTOS, studied and analyzed them, and came to the realization
that I too could make those same changes -- it was like I had
changed into a new person.
No excuse was now strong
enough to prevent me from achieving my singular
goal...transforming my body like those people in THE
PHOTOS.
They represented
the typical changes of those that had entered a body
transformation contest the year before. The very same contest
I had entered the year before too but failed to
finish.
I'm sure you know what
I'm talking about from similar experiences of your own
where you failed to accomplish what you originally set out to
do.
The prior year I had
entered without the one component engaged that would make all
the difference in the world...
The
Mental Component.
And I failed because it
was missing. My reasons for changing were not strong enough to
engage the power of the mind -- and let me tell you, once you
do you'll be amazed at what you can accomplish.
When I finally did put
it all together (and there is still one other piece of the
puzzle I haven't told you about yet) this was the
result:

And knowing it took 8
long hard years to get to my prior shape -- I knew I was on to
something immensely powerful. I know, you want to see what I

This change was deemed
good enough for me to be chosen the winner of the 1998
Physique Transformation Contest (today known as the Body For
Life contest).
Back then there was no
program put together for us to use and follow. So what I did
was use ALL the effective knowledge and
techniques I had learned over the years and combined them
together to form a powerful fat loss and muscle building
program.

Did you catch what the

Before, I had used each
new and effective method I learned all by itself. While this
caused some progress it was not nearly as effective as when I
combined all of the best ones together...can you see how this
was so?
Finally, when I put

almost unbelievable.
Heck, there are still
those who don't believe it's really my body in those 2 photos.

so I can't really blame them).
