Whew! What a month! I don't know if it's just me, but doesn't it seem that the older you get the busier you become? I can't tell you how tired I am of running on fumes. You probably feel the same way. And this is the way most Americans operate. Always wishing they had 'just a little' more sleep. And although I'm just as guilty, I know that by sleeping less than I need (about 7 1/2 - 8 hours) I pay the price. That toll evinces itself in several ways. Poor memory, lack of energy, moodiness, weakened immune system, and perhaps the one you're most concerned about, weight gain. Getting less sleep than you need changes the hormonal balance within your body. You start to secrete hormones that promote fat storage, not fat burn. Trust me on this. Even though research proves it, I like to confirm everything I read in
the real-world. And every time I've tested the ''sleep equation'' it comes
up the same. Get less sleep and it's harder to lose fat and gain lean
muscle. Get more sleep and the fat loss and muscle gain For one week just try and make it a priority to get at least 8 hours of sleep per night. Then let me know what your results were. However, I believe one of the answers is awareness of your condition. To be cognizant of what theyre doing, who they really are and what they truly look like will cause many to realize they do need to improve in those areas of their lives. Most people have in their minds-eye a view of themselves and their bodies that is totally and completely different from reality. I dont care what the mirror reflects back to you right now, you WILL see yourself in a different light once you take and look at a photograph of yourself. Dont take this advice lightly as the subtle act of taking your photo and looking at it on a regular basis will convince yourself that you do not want to look this way any longer. Trust me on this. Now some of you are probably thinking to yourself that, I don't want to take a photo of myself, I look horrible! I completely understand your point of view. But it is vitally important that you do this. If you fail to do this, I believe it will be one of the worst mistakes you can do to yourself if ultimate success in achieving Physical Excellence is your goal.
