Bet you were wondering how come you didn't receive your monthly newsletter from me on time (usually punctually sent on the 5th of every month). Well, you know what they say...'Better late than never'.

Actually, I do have a minor excuse...we had a baby 2 1/2 weeks ago. Yes, life is now different...and better.

I'll tell you, I thought I made out like a bandit since Christian was born. Until 3 nights ago. That's when Christian got lungs!

You see, Christian was born about 3 weeks early. As a result, plus a little bit of trauma he experienced 'coming out', he was a little weak and pretty quiet his first couple of weeks. So, since my wife was breast-feeding him and, like a trooper, she graciously let me sleep through the night, I thought I had it made.

Not any more, when Christian wants to eat he not only lets us know, but the neighbors as well. So 'red eyes' are the norm for me now. Never mind, it's all worth it.

So if you'll excuse my being late this month with the newsletter I really appreciate it.

Oh, the being late 'in more ways than one' part? Well, you know about this tardy newsletter, but you may not have known that this is my first baby, at 44 years old.

Lesson 9 - VISUALIZATION

Do you remember my earlier story of how I used visualization during my transformation?

[In case you forgot, I taped a cut-out picture of my head onto a photo of the body I wanted to achieve. It was a photo of Frank Zane, a very famous bodybuilder that gave Arnold Schwarzennegger a run for his money many times. Every night I would look at that photo, then close my eyes and visualize my body like his.]

Did it help me? I promise you it did. In fact, there have been numerous 'sports-specific' studies done using visualization as an aid to improving performance. And every one shows enhanced performance after regularly using it.
